There is a Savior, a Savior that brings hope for a new life for people of Africa and the African Diaspora. From Johannesburg to Nairobi from West Africa to the West Indies, from New York to Los Angeles, from Chicago to Houston, Africa's people are looking for the Savior. That Savior is Moringa oleifera, the Miracle Tree of Life
Moringa oleifera is called 'Nebedaye', which means 'never die', in many African languages; it promises relief from the devastiang diseases and malfunctions that are so rampant in the African and African American communities such as:
Diabetes & Complications leading to Kidney Diseases
High Blood Pressure, Stroke and Heart Diseases
Obesity brought on by Malnutrition (overfed-undernourished)
Tumors & Cancer
Lupus, Arthritis & other Auto-Immune Diseases
Glaucoma – Blindness
Prostate Enlargement & Prostate Cancer
Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
Irritable Bowel Syndrome
Additionally, Moringa has been shown to bring relief from the ravages of HIV and AIDS, malnutrition and diseases caused by bad water, bad food and environmental toxins. The seeds of Moringa purify water; this technology is currently being used for water purification in several major cities in Malawi, East Africa.
HIV and AIDS are of great concern on the continent and throughout the African Diaspora. If, indeed, the statistics are correct concerning the AIDS pandemic in Africa and among the African people in the Americas, if it is true that one in every 50 black men in America is HIV positive, and one in every 150 black women in America is HIV positive, there will be no black population in America in 100 years; and there will be no black people in Africa in 100 years. The Africans, the black race, will be wiped from the face of this earth.
But this is not God's plan; this is man's plan; and God, the benevolent One, always wins! In the final chapter of the Holy Bible, Revelations 22:1-2-3, there is a promise of this Savior, and I quote:
"And he showed me a pure river of water of life. . .
In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river,
was there a Tree o Life which bare twelve manner of fruits,
and yielded her fruit every month;
and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations...
And there shall be no more curse."
Yes, with this Savior, the Miracle tree, Moringa oleifera, the curse of 500 years of slavery and colonialism on the African people will be lifted. Weakened immunity, poor health, the basic cause, the etiology of HIV/AIDS, is the final curse, the one which was designed to be the straw to break the spine of black people forever. The Savior appeared at the darkest hours of this pandemic, when almost all hope was lost, and when the problem overwhelmed the people.
The people who brought the knowledge of this Savior to the grass roots people in America and to the health Ministers of Africa is Dr. Anthony Kweku Andoh, ethno-botanist from Ghana, West Africa and his life long partner, Ms. Kali Sichen, nutritionist, ethnographer and cultural foods expert. Dr. Andoh and Ms. Sichen research and teach about medicinal plants at the North Scale Institute, an education, research and healing center just south of Atlanta, Georgia. These gardens and retreat are the home of the Alem Tena Learning Center. In 2009 Dr. Andoh took his knowledge back to Ghana to begin teaching about the healing plants of the West African forests and grass lands. Students from the prestigious Morehouse College in Atlanta, GA and students from around the world are joining him to lean the secrets and healing powers of Africa’s most precious resource – the plant kingdom. In this natural setting at the Organic Moringa farms and the Global Model Forest for Self Sufficiency, Dr. Andoh shares his vast and unequalled knowledge of God’s healing plants with the entire world.
Dr. Andoh is a British educated ethnobotanist and a Fellow of the Linnean Society of London. He is the author of many books about plants used for medicine and for religious and spiritual purposes. He and his partner, Ms. Sichen have traveled throughout the world lecturing at colleges and universities and to civic organizations. Their message is always about the healing powers of our Mother Nature and through our trust in God's natural wisdom and gifts, given freely to all humanity, that any ailment of mind, body or spirit will be cured through the use of God's natural gifts from the plant world. At the Organic Moringa Farms of Global Model Forest Dr. Andoh brings the complexities of the science of botany down to the plain common language of the every day person.
In February of 2001, Dr. Andoh and Ms. Kali Sichen were members of an evaluation team that traveled to Senegal, West Africa to access a two year pilot program geared toward solving the problem of malnutrition in women, infants and children of this nation. Even though Dr. Andoh knew the value of this plant as a food and a medicine, through his extensive research on Moringa oleifera, the fact finding tour convinced him and Ms. Sichen that Moringa is indeed that Miracle Savior for African people.

Medicinal Values of Moringa (Nebedaye): Moringa oleifera starting with the Leaves:
Leaves: relieve headaches, expel worms, relieves swelling, heals skin diseases, inflammation of the eyes and ears, bronchitis and inflammation of mucous membranes, scurvy and increase milk production in lactating women
Flowers: are a good tonic, expel worms, treats tumors and enlarged spleen, relieve sore throat, and treat anxiety
Pods & seeds: purify water, treat tooth ache from tooth decay, expel worms, treat problems of the liver and spleen, and relieve joint pain
Roots: used as a laxative and to treat spasms of the colon, treat circulation problems, high blood pressure, kidney dysfunctions and low back pain; for gout, asthma and hiccoughs.
Fresh leaves are inserted into the nose of a comatose person, who is then aroused from the coma.
In laboratory tests the leaf extract of Moringa (Nebedaye) lowers blood sugar within three hours, heals stomach ulcers, is a powerful muscle relaxant, reducing blood pressure and causing sleep. Also in laboratory tests, juice extract from leaves and bark have shown antibacterial and antiviral properties, and show strong activity against the tuberculosis bacteria.
Leaves of Moringa can substitute for meat, soy bean products or dairy products as the leaves have a complete compliment of amino acids, the complete protein that is needed in human nutrition for good health.
Ounce per Ounce leaves of Moringa oleifera:
contain more vitamin A than carrots for good eyesight and to prevent blindness; contain a high quality vitamin A- beta carotene
more Calcium than milk for strong bones and teeth
more Iron than spinach for healthy blood cells
contain the full balanced compliment of B vitamins, as thiamin, riboflavin, niacin, for brain, muscle and neurological development
fresh leaves and pods contain high levels of vitamin C, ascorbic acid, which make it excellent for preventing scurvy
leaf powder is an excellent source of Vitamin E, tocopherol acetate, for DNA and sexual development
All these statistics look good in scientific papers and research reports, but on the ground in real life in Senegal you can see Moringa, the Miracle Tree of Hope, doing the real work of saving lives.
From the southern province of Casamance to the northern tip at San Luis and the Sahel region, the dry, encroaching desert areas of Senegal, near the town of Keur Momar Sarr, you can see Moringa is doing the work of saving lives.
Dr. Andoh and Ms. Sichen were commissioned by the Church World Service, the working arm of the National Council of Churches, to grow Moringa seedlings to present as gifts from the people of America, to the people of Senegal, and to deliver these live plants to the various rural clinics where the Moringa pilot program has been in place over the past two years.
In early February of 2001 they flew to Senegal with the delegation of Church World Service fundraisers, contributors and representatives from several American based NGOs to witness the miracle of Moringa.
Andoh's extensive botanical education includes four years at the prestigious Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew, in England, the world's oldest and most unique garden and botanical education center. The gardens were first the private retreat for the British Royalty beginning in the 1600's, but grew so rapidly and so complex with the acquisition of plants from every corner of the British Empire. Andoh was taught the sciences of botany and the art of horticulture from some of the most distinguished plant scientists in the world.
His first lessons, however, were at his father's feet; the late Joseph Emmanuel Andoh was Africa's foremost botanist, who also spent years in learning and research at Britain's Kew Gardens. He preceded his son at Kew by a generation; the elder Andoh was instrumental in the introduction of thousands of rain forest species that were unknown in botanical sciences in the West.
J. E. Andoh initiated his son, Anthony Kweku, into the secret life of plants when little Kweku was only 7 years old. The elder Andoh died mysteriously when Kweku was 11 years old but he continued to tutor his son from the spiritual realm. By the time young Kweku was 16 years old, he was proficient in the taxonomy of West African Plants. He could correctlyidentify and botanically describe the flora of West Africa, even though he had no previous formal schooling in botany.
He began working at the Ghana Forestry Department as a teen, where he quickly gained the confidence and respect of his elders. When Andoh was 22 years old, he was selected to pioneer the development of the botanical gardens at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science & Technology at Kumasi, Ghana. After years of meticulous planning and laying out the botanical gardens, introducing new plants from various parts of the world, Andoh was selected by the British Parliament to be one of the chosen few to receive advanced education and training at the world's most prestigious institution for botanical sciences, The Royal Botanical Gardens at Kew in England.
Dr. Andoh continued his journey of botanical discovery as he traveled through Europe, then returning to southern Africa for extensive research and horticultural expansion. He soon traveled to the United States during the mid-seventies, where he partnered with Ms. Kali Sichen, raised a family and continued his private research, business development and writing.
Andoh has authored several books about medicinal plants, the most acclaimed book, The Science and Romance of Selected Herbs Used in Medicine and Religious Ceremony, was one of only two ethno-botany books selected for the Millennium edition of the Whole Earth Catalog.
While developing a thriving plant nursery business in San Francisco, Andoh and Sichen developed the Harbinger Herbal Nutrients, a line of herbal supplements Many of these formulas are based on ancient African rain forest herbal remedies.
Kali Sichen, affectionately known as Mama Kali, is shown with
Moringa oleifera in the Atlanta, GA gardens just before the winter
season begins. Moringa is a tropical plant and cannot survive cold winters.
In 1997 Andoh and Sichen relocated the entire family to rural Georgia where they are develop a large acreage into a unique green space, research center and healing retreat. In the virgin forest surrounding this retreat, Andoh has identified, named and marked over two hundred native Georgia medicinal plants. These fascinating nature trails make their botanical tours both educational and enriching in preparing individuals for wilderness survival.
Andoh and Sichen advocate a healing regime based on the use of Moringa oleifera; they call it the Mama Moringa Self Healing System. The philosophy of this self healing system states that disease is a product of imbalanced diets which lead to malnutrition and accumulation of toxins and excess mucus in the body. They recommend their special herbal formulas for cleansing, along with a diet of cleansing and nourishing foods. This is followed by his special herbal formulas for tonifying diseased organs and body systems. After extensive cleansing, they recommend using Moringa (Nebedaye) daily as a nutritional supplement, while maintaining a wholesome, cleansing dietary intake of whole foods, fruits and vegetables.
Today, because of the powerful tool that has been place in our hands, this Savior, Moringa, called Nebedaye which means ‘never die’ we African people do not have to accept the death sentence that we have been given under the guise of HIV/AIDS, prostate cancer, fibroid tumors, diabetes and high blood pressure with all the accompanying maladies and degenerative organs and diseases. We black people can take control of our own destiny by taking control of our own health. We can stop many diseases in their tacks by giving our bodies the basic elements needed to maintain optimum functioning.
Remember that not only is Moringa a complete food, it is also a powerful medicine. In laboratory tests, Moringa (Nebedaye) has been shown to reduce blood sugar within 3 hours, and lowered high blood pressure. These two medicinal uses alone, for diabetes and hypertension, will release millions of Africans and African Americans from the ravages of dependence on prescription drugs.
By providing a balance of naturally occurring proteins, vitamins and minerals, Moringa (Nebedaye) will also help to build a more powerful immune system from birth to old age. This will ward off any opportunist disease that causes early death among our people.
